Position Summary


The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Youth Program Administrator in identifying, administering, and coordinating youth programs through the Office of Resident Services.

This position is responsible for coordinating community events, connecting with various community organizations and programs, and monitoring participant and program data and progress.

All activities must support the Housing Authority of Baltimore City ("HABC" or "Authority") mission, strategic goals, and objectives.

Major Duties

  • Works with Youth Program Administrator to identify, develop, coordinate, and monitor various HABC Youth Program initiatives.
  • Promotes, facilitates and attends HABC Youth Program initiatives.
  • Partners with other youth programs and youth organizations in the area, as well as, funders and various service delivery organizations to leverage information for various programs.
  • Analyzes data to ensure HABC goals are being met and that the programs are effective.
  • Responsible for gathering, entering and reporting on data within the HABC system(s).
  • Develops and maintains strong partnerships with local organizations and the community to further the reach of HABC's Youth Programs.
  • Works closely with internal teams to develop strategies and best practices for HABC Youth Programs, as well as, reviewing and analyzing data to address challenges, develop new strategies and plan for continuous improvement to support program performance.
  • Works closely with Program Administrator to support the completion of reports pertaining to youth program initiatives.
  • Represents HABC at local meetings, programs and projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience


Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology or related field(s) and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in youth, teen or family programs.

Two (2) years of experience planning and/or facilitating community-wide events. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Special Requirements

  • Possession of a valid Maryland driver's license.
  • Must be able to be covered under the Authority's fidelity bond.
  • Must be able to be covered under the Authority's vehicle insurance policy.

Other Requirements

  • You must successfully pass a prescreening investigation, including employment and education verification.
  • Probationary Period: This is a fulltime permanent position. Upon employment, you will be required to serve a 6month probationary period.
  • All new employees are required to receive at least one COVID19 vaccination shot in a twoshot series or be fully vaccinated prior to the date of hire.
