Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Director to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and educating our participants by coordinating and managing various enrichment programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and evaluations.
  • Manage program sites and ensure a safe and engaging environment for participants.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program activities, participant information, and attendance.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to senior mentors and ensure clear communication and understanding.
  • Host daily team meetings to touch base with mentors and senior mentors.
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks.
  • Develop and implement a range of indoor and outdoor activities for participants.
  • Create monthly surveys and newsletters to engage with participants and stakeholders.
  • Attend workshops and corporate events to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry trends.
  • Prepare financial reports and budget analyses to inform program decisions.
  • Develop and manage program schedules and staff assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and emergency procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed, including filing and record-keeping.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a social work setting.
  • Strong management skills with a proven track record in program development.
  • Experience working with school-age children and families.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory and program management.
  • High school degree or equivalent; Associate's degree or two years of full-time college coursework preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a counselor-in-training, teacher, or related field.
  • First aid and CPR training and certification.
  • 1-2 years of office or administrative experience.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Encouraging and patient when working with participants.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable leading a team and making decisions.
  • Creative and innovative thinker and planner.
  • Strong ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities and events.
  • Skills in managing and resolving conflicts between children or between staff and children.
  • Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Google Workspace.
  • Time keeping and data entry skills.
  • Strict adherence to NBC philosophy, standards, and goals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule:

Part-time, 20-29.5 hours per week. Flexible scheduling to accommodate program needs.
