- Communicate with clients to gather insurance details and address account inquiries professionally.
- Handle Explanation of Benefits from funding sources and reconcile any denied claims efficiently.
- Accurately post third-party payments and verify their correctness.
- Assist therapists in updating treatment plans and submitting necessary paperwork for reauthorization.
- Maintain insurance eligibility records and process claims accurately.
- Ensure completeness of claim forms and submit them to insurance providers promptly.
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility through various channels.
- Manage and organize invoices and related documentation.
- Resolve any discrepancies in accounts receivable records promptly.
- Provide training on billing processes to staff when required.
- Utilize computer systems for data entry, information retrieval, and basic reporting.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in insurance, accounts receivable, or billing.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and ability to learn new software applications.
The Billing Specialist will operate in a comfortable office environment with potential for hybrid/remote work. The role may involve a flexible schedule, including weekends or evenings, to meet business needs.
