  • Perform different assignments using standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, system components incorporation, and rough sketch refinement.
  • Follow company, client, and project design standards.
  • Create complete PFDs and P&IDs based on verbal or written descriptions.
  • Apply basic formulas, principles, and acquired knowledge of piping concepts.
  • Develop drawings for production work, analyze problems, layouts, and calculations on non-routine assignments.
  • Execute various piping design tasks using standard techniques, sizing system components, and refining sketches.
  • Make changes to designs or sketches and review ongoing projects.
  • Analyze reports, drawings, and tests for project planning and design.
  • Interpret design codes and specifications, ensure design quality within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Compute layouts, equipment, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Revise project drawings and ensure project-related information is organized efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with project clients.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers in a team environment to solve design issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in drafting technology or related field with 7 years of experience. Alternatively, an Associate Degree with 8 years of experience, or 9 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
  • Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel.
  • Ability to work with both 2D and 3D applications for engineering drawings.
  • Advanced knowledge in design, calculations, and design systems.
  • Competence in using discipline design software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

This is a full-time position with occasional travel required (around 5% of the time).
