The Digital and Ecommerce team at Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's is seeking a Digital Product Manager to assist in creating innovative digital solutions to support the organization's goal of inspiring everyone to appreciate and preserve the outdoors.
This role revolves around understanding customers' needs and translating them into online business prospects.
The ideal candidate must possess an e-commerce mindset, a solid grasp of web development technologies, and exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Explore and identify opportunities that drive business outcomes and product success.
- Engage in continuous discovery to enhance products based on user feedback and market research.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure successful product development.
- Craft product roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders to maximize results and adapt to market changes.
- Manage the backlog and oversee product development, testing, and acceptance.
- Develop product positioning strategies to differentiate from competitors.
- Monitor product performance to implement enhancements.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with experience in digital product management and e-commerce.
Experience: 5+ years in digital product management or relevant roles.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills.
- Experience in usability and customer experience design.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile practices.
- Passion for creating exceptional products and solving business challenges.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Expected to travel up to 10%.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primarily involves computer work with occasional standing and walking; lifting up to 50lbs is rare.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Responsible for establishing objectives and policies within a specific area of operation. Works independently with periodic reviews.
