Job Description
Serves as the leader of Marketing Operations serving the Y association, branches, camps and other Y locations with marketing execution of creative services, print production, video and imagery production, media and other tactics.
This role will also serve as the product lead for the association virtual content (Virtual Y/YMCA360) and Marq, the online marketing creation platform.
Leads brand standards and guidelines while developing new and innovative designs, world class marketing collateral, printed materials and creative assets for digital.
Serves as a coach and mentor for the association staff to provide direction, guidance and support to meet goals at all levels.

Bachelor's Degree in the field of Graphic Design, Fine Art Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Comparable combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of ten (10) years' professional experience in marketing field required.
Previous supervisor experience leading other creatives (graphic designers, photographers, etc.)Licensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications.
CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:American Red CrossAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Safety & Health Institute
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the Association Project Manager to effectively execute marketing requests.
Supervise the role of Marketing Manager of Creative Services, which leads the Creative Services team of graphic designers and the Multimedia Manager that produces Video/Photography and storytelling assets.
Support the Y's strategic plan through the visual creation and production of marketing projects for the association, branches, camps and other Y locations.
Project manage the workload and bandwidth of the team to maximize efficiencies and bandwidth.Work with various vendors including print, signage, digital, social media, video production and more to deliver marketing tactics for various projects.
Train and onboard new and existing staff, while continuously stay current in graphic design, marketing and technology trends.Learn, enforce and manage the Y brand visually, providing direction and creative space where needed.
Work closely with Association Project Manager in workflow of incoming, currently active and completed project requests, communicating with requestors from the association office, branches, camps and other Y locations.
Manage expenses and budget for the team, delivering the best and most cost-effective solutions.Manage a variety of software and project management tools including Marq, Teamwork, and more.
Cause-Driven Leadership Competencies
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro), Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Outlook, video production software (exa: iMovie, Final Cut Pro).Advanced knowledge of professional and enticing layouts, typography, vector art creation, image manipulation, digital photography and photo editing.
Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage time with multiple, competing deadlines.
Strong communications skills with the ability to speak or present in front of large groups (in-person or digitally).Ability to create effective advertising while staying on time and within budget guidelines.
Excellent sense of creative eye, style and innovation in designs.Enthusiastic about working collaboratively and effectively in both remote and in-person environments.
