We are looking for a Junior Accountant Bookkeeper to join an established Investment firm in Doral, FL.

The Ideal candidate will be responsible for digitizing general ledger entries, categorizing financial transactions, managing transactional documents, and facilitating capital acquisition from banks and lenders, including maintaining collateral asset inventory, managing loan applications, providing documentation to banks, and overseeing communication with bank underwriters

Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping Duties:

  • Transform all entries in the general ledger into digital format to streamline processing and retrieval efficiency.
  • Systematically categorize all financial transactions according to established accounting principles to ensure precise tracking and reporting accuracy.
  • Procure and convert all transaction-related documents into digital form, meticulously linking each to its corresponding financial entry for audit and compliance purposes.

Facilitating Capital Acquisition from Banks and Lenders:

  • Maintain an updated record of company assets available for collateralization to facilitate loan acquisition.
  • Record assets currently leveraged as collateral for existing loans to maintain a comprehensive overview of financial obligations.
  • Engage with banks and lenders to explore and assess potential loan opportunities.
  • Initiate and oversee loan applications, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Provide all necessary documentation requested by financial institutions to facilitate smooth loan processing.
  • Ensure prompt and thorough responses to inquiries from bank underwriters under the guidance of the CFO.
  • Present loan term sheets from banks to the CFO for review, approval, and acceptance, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Process, digitize, store, and provide the CFO access to loan documents for financial oversight and accounting purposes.
  • Keep an up-to-date ledger of interactions with lenders, documenting application statuses and contact information of bank representatives.

​Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or other related fields
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with computer accounting programs and reporting tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Detail and deadline-oriented
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
