POSITION SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst I role is essential in delivering financial insights to senior management and various corporate divisions. The analyst will also play a crucial role in supporting the accounting team during month-end closing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather and analyze financial data for both short-term and long-term projections, ensuring accuracy and reliability for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct variance analysis on financial results compared to budget and forecast, identifying root causes for discrepancies.
  • Support monthly closing tasks, including journal entry preparation, variance explanations, and accruals.
  • Investigate and rectify any accounting discrepancies that arise.
  • Collaborate with various departments to assist in the development and review of budgets and forecasts.
  • Engage with peers in the Finance department, presenting information as required.
  • Prepare presentations for leadership to enhance their influence across different teams.
  • Adhere to deadlines and commitments while maintaining focus on overall objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0 - 2 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or budgeting roles, with a preference for candidates who have engaged in various business analyses.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities suitable for a junior-level position. Must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with upper management and operational teams.
  • The ideal candidate should be adaptable, willing to learn new skills, and take ownership of their responsibilities. A team-oriented mindset is crucial, along with a commitment to delivering projects punctually and accurately.
