Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic direction and operations of 46 technical societies, councils, and communities within IEEE, supporting over 350,000 memberships, 200 publications, and 1,000 conferences.
- Manage a 220-person team overseeing TA OU operations, product and financial management, and collaboration with IEEE's major boards to advance the organization's mission.
- Oversee special projects, new initiatives, and the IEEE Technical Activities Board of Directors.
- Manage an operating unit with a substantial budget and report to the IEEE Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer.
Qualifications:
- 15-20 years of related business experience with a background in association management.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex budgets, revenue streams, and diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a dynamic and political environment.
- Experience in developing and sustaining strategic relationships with stakeholders.
- International travel required up to 50% of the time.
Candidates currently serving on an IEEE board or committee are ineligible to apply for this position.
