About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Representative to join our Evonik Industries team. As a key member of our Soil and Groundwater Remediation team, you will be responsible for growing sales of our products and services in the central/western territory in the USA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales forecasts and grow the sales funnel.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with environmental consultants, contractors, regulators, and site owners.
  • Provide technical support and propose remediation strategies to customers.
  • Collaborate with the global Technology Group to develop and improve remediation strategies.
  • Drive commercial and technical activities, including lead generation and converting them into successful customer business and project pipeline.
  • Market and promote Evonik S&GW products at industry events, such as trade shows, conferences, and workshops.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitive intelligence, and local regulatory information.
  • Work closely with supply chain, credit, and customer service teams for smooth customer transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with Evonik's Vision/Mission and corporate compliance standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Environmental Sciences.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of technical soil and groundwater remediation experience, client interaction, or sales experience.
  • Proven track record of commercial business development.
  • Experience related to sales or the use of remediation products.
  • Strong analytical and scientific skills, with the ability to translate technical results into persuasive sales arguments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Good command of English.
  • Experience in negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict management.
  • 20-40% travel required.
