About the position

Are you passionate about everything web analytics and how it can add real business value? We have lots of exciting data from our marketing and investment activities. We have countless ideas how more analytics can power our company even faster, including website engagement, optimizing advertising spend, improving email effectiveness, and sourcing investment deals. We're looking for that person that can help make these ideas real

Responsibilities:

The Analyst will work for the Director of Analytics and closely with the marketing team to:

  • Identify trends in web and mobile traffic and site use; create standard and ad hoc analytics reports and dashboards for both internal and external use.
  • Perform operational review of web analytics metrics including: standard dashboard, and reports; ensure report accuracy and solve tracking inconsistencies.
  • Develop and interpret new metrics and studies to quantify the value and recommend product enhancements during planning that are informed by these insights.
  • Review and interpret analytics and insights and recommend appropriate A/B and multivariate test candidates that guide incremental improvement of our digital experience.
  • Demonstrate how each project adds real value to the business.
Outcomes:
Success will be achieved by delivering website improvements that make a measurable big difference in our marketing ROAS, our email marketing engagement, our repeat customer investments and/or growth in our communities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics or Mathematics
  • 3 years using Google Analytics
  • 1 year using Google Analytics raw data
  • 2+ years web optimization experience using A/B testing
  • 3 years of SQL with knowledge of analytic functions
  • 3-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • 1 year of Python programming
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or QuickSight.
  • Great "team player" attitude balanced with a willingness to serve as a solo project manager
  • Proactive, a solutions oriented problem-solver
  • Flexibility and adaptability, a fast learner who is able to both apply and adopt skills readily
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience in an e-commerce environment
  • 1+ years using data warehouses such as Vertica or AWS RedShift
  • Building Tableau Reports
  • Experience building Python Flask Web applications
  • Experience with software development best practices, including source control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, testing, and documentation
  • Experience working in a Finance or Financial Technology job with Alternative Investments experience preferred or experience in a Digital Marketing job
  • Experience with email and advertising analytics
