Position Overview
The Financial Analyst III at Hubbell plays a crucial role within the finance department, providing support across multiple sites in the Burndy US division.

This position reports directly to the Business Unit Controller and collaborates frequently with senior finance personnel, including the Sr. Financial Analyst and Cost Accountant.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that financial reporting and associated processes comply with GAAP and the organization's accounting standards.
- Assist in the implementation of significant financial systems as required.
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels to drive positive change.
- Supervise the monthly preparation of account reconciliations and journal entries utilizing a web-based application.
- Review and authorize purchase requests while preparing procurement review reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Manage intercompany balancing, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with other business units to resolve issues.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, including margin analysis and pricing documentation.
- Analyze financial statements, internal controls, and company policies to provide insightful assessments.
- Address ad hoc financial information requests and engage in various special projects as necessary.
- Support internal SOX audit processes and ensure timely resolution of any findings.
- Effectively engage with stakeholders through virtual communication platforms as needed.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a global manufacturing context.
- Proven success in various finance and accounting roles.
- Ability to identify and communicate the implications of complex transactions to leadership.
- Experience with SOX controls in a publicly traded company setting.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and transactional accounting within a manufacturing framework.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced skills preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse work environment.
- Highly organized and capable of managing tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and manage projects efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with mid-to-large scale ERP systems is advantageous.
