Position Summary
The Financial Analyst III plays a pivotal role within the Hubbell finance team, contributing to multiple sites within the Burndy US division.

This position reports directly to the Burndy Business Unit Controller and collaborates closely with various finance professionals including the Senior Financial Analyst, Cost Accountant, Group Controller, and Vice President of Finance.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that financial reporting and associated processes adhere to GAAP and the company's accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of essential financial systems as required.
- Engage with all organizational levels, effectively communicating to drive change.
- Supervise the monthly preparation of account reconciliations and journal entries utilizing a web-based application.
- Review and authorize purchase requests while preparing monthly and quarterly procurement review reports.
- Manage intercompany balancing, independently investigate issues, and collaborate with counterparts in other business units to resolve discrepancies.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, including standard margin bridges and pricing analyses.
- Analyze and evaluate financial statements, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Fulfill ad hoc financial information requests and participate in various special projects as necessary.
- Support internal SOX audit activities and ensure timely remediation of any findings or follow-up items.
- Interact effectively with Hubbell stakeholders remotely via video conferencing as appropriate.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a global manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of success in various progressive finance and accounting roles.
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and communicate the implications of complex transactions to the leadership team.
- Experience in implementing and/or maintaining SOX controls in a publicly traded company setting.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and transactional accounting within a manufacturing context, along with familiarity with monthly accounting close processes.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse organization.
- Highly organized with the capacity to perform well under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and executing projects efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with mid-to-large scale ERP systems is a significant advantage.
