Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a welcoming attitude consistently
  • Achieve or surpass RevPAR targets
  • Accurately predict revenues for the upcoming month
  • Analyze short-term changes and sales activities to maximize profits
  • Develop sales and marketing plans for the next year
  • Ensure front desk staff are informed about sales programs and major clients
  • Generate sales reports promptly
  • Understand the productive market segments and optimize revenues by balancing them effectively. Conduct displacement analysis when necessary
  • Recognize property strengths and weaknesses compared to competitors
  • Review and understand STR results on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Spot revenue opportunities and secure business from them
  • Show dedication to exceptional guest service by personally attending to guest needs
  • Arrange site visits, collaborating with all departments for showcasing rooms
  • Engage with external contacts:
    • Guests - ensuring their satisfaction
    • Owners and/or Principals - providing revenue updates and addressing ongoing matters
    • Vendors - resolving vendor performance issues, etc.
    • Regulatory agencies - for safety and compliance concerns
    • Other necessary contacts (Professional organizations, local media, community groups)
  • Perform any additional assigned tasks
Qualifications:

Completion of high school education/GED.

Experience:

At least a year of sales experience in the hospitality industry or two years of progressive experience in a hotel setting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other similar computer software

Work Hours:

Work schedule varies according to hotel requirements.

Travel:

Up to 50% travel expected.
Must have a valid driver's license and access to reliable transport.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent sitting, standing, and movement within the facilities. Handling of objects, products, and equipment. Operating keyboards and other office devices. Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of items up to 25 pounds. Effective communication of information. Attention to detail.

Additional Skills:
  • Fluent in English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in basic math, budgeting, profit/loss analysis, percentages, and variances. Strong problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities. Effective multitasking skills.
