Our roadshow services, large group movements, executive and transient services have dedicated agents and support teams. We manage transportation at major sporting events, award shows and concert tours with dedicated onsite dispatching.

Position Overview

Dav El | BostonCoach is seeking an energetic and committed self-starter to join our Sales team.

The successful Events Sales Manager (ESM) should come from or be familiar with the ground transportation, meeting and events or corporate travel Industry with experience selling to a broad range of clients including meeting planners, C-level buyers, and procurement managers.

The ideal candidate is someone with a solid network who can quickly excel at articulating a value proposition to inspire confidence, highlight technology and service differentiators, and be able to help us grow our managed corporate business, specifically for meetings and events.

It is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone who is passionate about event planning, transportation, sales, and relationship-building. The ESM reports to the Vice President of Sales. The ESM can be fully remote, but ideally near one of our offices (i.e. Chicago, MA, NY, NJ or PA)

ESM Responsibilities

  • Responsible for an annual New Business Revenue Quota
  • Responsible for prospecting and generating new business opportunities among Fortune 1000 target companies
  • Receive, handle and convert meetings, events and group inquiries
  • Work in tandem with Event Operations team to convert leads and quotes to revenue-generating opportunities
  • Identify and solicit business from departments of existing transient clients who exclusively handle events.
  • Suggest business decisions on rates and service to maximize revenue
  • Develop onboarding plans for new clients to ensure outstanding service experience
  • Maintain a strong funnel of opportunities that meet our target market for ground transportation services for meetings and events
  • Effectively present to Corporate Travel Managers, Travel Planners, Meetings & Events Coordinators and procurement via phone, Zoom and face-to-face meetings
  • Articulate and demo Dav El | BostonCoach's technology and service differentiators
  • Maintain an active role in travel industry functions, travel trade shows, MPI and other events for lead development
  • Utilize to update contact information, input information, and track sales activity
  • Work closely with Sales Management and Client Services team when on boarding new corporate accounts and new meeting & event opportunities for existing accounts.
  • Maintain a calendar of past events in order to plan solicitation and ensure repeat participation.
  • Build and maintains strong relationships to secure repeat business within assigned territory
  • Assist in the preparation of monitoring sales, department, and budgetary reports when needed
  • Build Territory Plan and review plan quarterly with manager
  • Team player who works productively with peers, Manager, Client Services, Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT, Product and HR personnel.


To excel in this role, the ESM will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to think creatively and strategically.

The ESM will also need to be able to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Ground Transportation, Meetings & Events, Corporate Travel Industry experience preferred
  • No less than 3 years of sales experience including new business revenue quota
  • Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales quota goals
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with (or similar CRM)
  • Some travel required (
