Assistant Banquet Manager

Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Planning: Collaborate with clients to plan and organize banquet events according to their preferences and requirements.
  • Supervising: Oversee banquet staff including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during events.
  • Catering Coordination: Coordinate with the catering team to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages during events.
  • Staff Management: Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling banquet staff; provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Event Execution: Manage all aspects of event execution, including setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and control banquet expenses to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service throughout events.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in banquet management or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of food service operations, including food preparation, kitchen management, and shift management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training banquet staff is preferred.
  • Certification in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
