Summary


The Office of Medical Student Education at the University of Michigan Medical School seeks a dynamic and dedicated individual to lead and direct the OMSE - Evaluation and Assessment unit.

The incumbent will oversee all aspects of evaluations and assessments for the undergraduate medical education program and is responsible for supporting activities related to academic and program review, helping the program to develop a culture of continuous quality improvement through leadership, collaboration, strategic visioning, data informed decision making, and consistency.


This position will report directly to the Senior Director for Medical Student Education and work closely with education Associate Deans, Assistant Deans, unit directors, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities** Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to the Evaluation and Assessment unit within the Office of Medical Student Education.

Supervise unit staff, foster a team-oriented culture focused on quality improvement, develop work plans and systems for cross training and back-up (including by and for the Director), complete mid-year and end-of-year performance evaluations, provide timely feedback, and establish individualized professional development plans.
