JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist is responsible for managing daily operations related to various human resources functions while offering strategic HR support across the organization. This role emphasizes building and nurturing strong relationships with both leadership and employees. Key responsibilities include Learning & Development, Safety, and Personnel Management, with occasional recruitment support as needed.

JOB DUTIES:
Core responsibilities encompass the following, with additional tasks as assigned.

Learning and Development
  • Coordinate and track employee training schedules.
  • Ensure documentation of all certificates, licenses, and renewals, and monitor compliance with continuing education requirements.
  • Manage and update content for the Learning Management System (LMS) and the OxfordU e-Learning program.
  • Facilitate Lunch & Learn events, including logistics and post-event feedback collection.
  • Collaborate with LMS representatives to establish standard operating procedures for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Provide regular updates on training initiatives.
  • Oversee Career Path and Succession Planning programs.
  • Offer guidance on employee development to both staff and supervisors.
  • Administer annual employee Stay Interviews and collaborate with IT on Retention Track system management.
  • Assist in new hire orientation and onboarding improvements based on feedback.
Safety
  • Serve as the primary contact for the Safety Program.
  • Work with safety consultants to ensure compliance with safety training and regulations.
  • Participate as an HR representative on the Emergency Response Team.
  • Maintain and lead training on the Emergency Response Plan.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and related documentation.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and coordinate with insurance providers.
Personnel Management & Employee Relations
  • Act as a resource for employee inquiries regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate resolutions for employee-related issues.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting as necessary.
  • Promote employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee the offboarding process, including exit interviews and final meetings.
  • Drive HR department enhancements through data analysis and process recommendations.
Other/Admin
  • Assist in updating departmental standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Labor Law postings.
  • Track HR metrics and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Manage HR files and documentation.
  • Provide additional support as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not include supervisory duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of HR experience.
  2. Proficiency in designing and delivering training materials.
  3. Experience in employee development and succession planning.
  4. Knowledge of workers' compensation processes.
  5. Ability to mediate employee discussions effectively.
  6. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), HRIS, and ATS is preferred.
  7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Ability to build relationships and demonstrate social perceptiveness.
  10. High level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  11. Results-oriented with a commitment to quality and efficiency.
  12. Demonstrated integrity, responsibility, and a proactive work ethic.
  13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  14. Effective multitasking skills in a dynamic environment.
  15. Maintain a positive attitude in all job functions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employees are regularly required to sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate verbally. Frequent stair navigation and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. The work environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level.
