Position Summary
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating day to day operations of the H&K Building and Center Street outdoor fields.
The Coordinator is responsible for hands-on operations including personnel supervision of student staff and Graduate Assistant when available, safety and risk management of the facility and equipment, by monitoring and managing the operation and maintenance of.
Coordinates hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating building managers.Serves as the liaison with the Health and Kinesiology Academic Unit to do classroom maintenance and set up, as well as coordinate facility projects in shared spaces, and ensure spaces/equipment are working properly.
Serve on various Campus Recreation & Wellness, as well as Division of Student Life and Wellbeing, committees. Assist in the development of joint programs, polices, and procedures for the operation of Campus Recreation. Complete departmental administrative duties including reports, budgets, purchasing, and statistics. Provide Leadership for Campus Recreation student staff and help develop student success opportunities.Job Duties

Recruit, hire, train and evaluate Building Managers in customer service, attending to facility issues, personal skills and development, and leadership skills.
Train Building Managers to become successful leaders and managers. Facilitating tasks among the Lead Student managers and the Graduate Assistant.
Evaluate and recognize student staff throughout each semester using peer to peer, self-evaluations, and building up personal skills as well as job duties using objective measurement tools.

Required Experience
A minimum of one-year of relevant experience in facility management, staff supervision experience in a University Recreation setting or Commercial Fitness Center setting
