Position Overview:

Reporting Structure:

Employment Type:
Full-time, 10-month position / Non-Exempt, 40 hours per week

Compensation:

Core Responsibilities:

The Campus Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the school premises and its occupants. Key duties include:

  • Conducting regular patrols of hallways, restrooms, and outdoor areas to maintain a secure environment.
  • Facilitating smooth student traffic flow during transitions between classes.
  • Supervising students during meal times and at arrival/dismissal periods.
  • Managing traffic during student drop-off and pick-up times.
  • Addressing behavioral issues by removing disruptive students when necessary.
  • Alerting administration and emergency services in case of emergencies or suspicious activities.
  • Assisting in crisis management and emergency response drills.
  • Providing guidance to visitors and ensuring proper identification is presented.
  • Identifying and reporting unauthorized individuals or activities on campus.
  • Promoting positive student behavior by serving as a role model.
  • Maintaining professionalism in all interactions with students, parents, and staff.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other related tasks as assigned by the principal or designated administrative staff.

Equipment Usage:
Familiarity with basic office equipment such as computers and copiers is required.

Travel Requirements:
Local travel may be necessary.

Work Environment:
The role is conducted in standard office and school environments, requiring effective organizational and communication skills. Physical demands include standing, walking, and engaging in various physical activities as needed.
