Director of Commercial Finance , you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the sales and marketing functions within the organization.

You will partner closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement financial strategies that support revenue growth, profitability, and customer acquisition goals.

Your focus will be on providing financial insights, optimizing financial performance, and enabling informed decision-making to drive successful sales and marketing initiatives.

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. ( Hybrid is defined as 2 to 3 times per week in the office ).

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:
Lead the financial planning processes for the sales and marketing functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Analyze sales and marketing performance and provide insights on key financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop financial goals and targets aligned with business objectives.

Sales and Marketing Finance Strategy:
Partner with sales and marketing leaders to develop financial strategies that support revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition.
Identify and evaluate opportunities to optimize pricing, promotions, and sales effectiveness.
Assess the financial viability and risks associated with sales and marketing initiatives, campaigns, and investments.

Financial Performance Management:


Monitor and track sales and marketing financial performance against targets, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Provide regular reporting and analysis on sales and marketing KPIs, such as revenue performance, customer acquisition costs, and marketing ROI.

Develop and implement financial metrics and dashboards to provide insights into sales and marketing performance.

Financial Operations and Risk Management:
Oversee financial operations for the sales and marketing functions, including budget allocation, expense management, and financial controls.
Mitigate financial risks associated with sales and marketing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Implement and maintain financial processes and systems to optimize operational efficiency.

Business Partnership and Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align financial goals and strategies with broader business objectives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support sales and marketing strategies, investments, and resource allocation.
Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales and marketing leaders, executives, and finance partners.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

Minimum 10-12 years of finance experience, including proven experience in leadership roles with a focus on sales and marketing finance.

Solid understanding of sales and marketing dynamics, including pricing, promotions, forecasting, and customer acquisition.
Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
Familiarity with financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and profit analysis.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Professional finance certifications (e.g. CFA, CPA) are a plus.

Physical Requirements:


Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale:
$175,000 to $205,000

The pay rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, accomplishments, and location.

Pay scales are subject to review on a regular basis and will be updated as appropriate.
