The Lead Financial Planning Analyst will collaborate with various business units and finance professionals to deliver comprehensive support for budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis. Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be instrumental in providing precise and insightful financial evaluations that aid in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the financial planning representative for designated divisions, overseeing the creation of the annual budget and conducting monthly variance assessments, facilitating discussions with departmental and divisional leadership.
- Collaborate with the Mergers & Acquisitions team to formulate budgets and pro forma reports for newly acquired entities.
- Develop and sustain financial models that bolster business operations.
- Enhance and refine financial reporting to effectively convey results and variances to departmental and business leaders.
- Assist in the monthly closing process, which entails summarizing and consolidating results against the budget and providing insights on variances.
- Ensure the accuracy and reasonableness of all financial reports.
- Engage with department heads for monthly financial evaluations.
- Streamline and automate reporting and business processes.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and undertake additional tasks as required to support the team.
- Cross-train to serve as a backup for colleagues in emergency situations.
- Contribute to various projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Financial Planning & Analysis, with experience in private equity-backed firms being advantageous.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, processes, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving, documentation, research, and data analysis.
- Excellent comprehension of financial statements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft GP.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and vendors.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to perform the required duties in a designated office environment during standard business hours.
- Capability to sit for extended periods, lift a minimum of 5 pounds, file, stand, bend, reach, and pull as necessary.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000.
- Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and skill level.
- The salary range reflects Warner Pacific's good faith belief regarding the compensation for this role at the time of posting and may be adjusted in the future.
