Job Descriptions:


We are looking for a Full-Time Assistant Portfolio Manager to support the Portfolio Manager in the overall operation of assigned properties with the goal of ensuring that portfolio goals and objectives are met.

You will assist the Portfolio Manager in Community Manager training and guidance of Property Maintenance staff to ensure consistency in company practices, policies and procedures.

You will also assist in ensuring that Community Managers operate within company policies and procedures.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate files and records. Assist in periodic audits of property files and property Voyager information.
  • Assist in the daily monitoring of building performance via Yardi Voyager.
  • Assist in monitoring delinquency
- reports and reporting to Property and Portfolio Manager issues regarding excessive delinquency.

  • Assist in the monitoring of all advertising sources daily and alert Portfolio Manager, and Community Managers on status of ads.
  • Monitor the daily vacancy logs and point out needed corrections to reports to assure their accuracy as needed.
  • Assist in assuring that weekly reports are submitted on the last working day of each week by Community Managers.
  • Assist in requests for project bids and proposals from vendors.
  • Assist in assuring timecards are submitted on the last day of each pay cycle.
  • Daily review of delinquencies, vacancies, movein/moveout status and prospect followup, plus alerting Community Managers to ensure that the Voyager system information is current and complete.
  • Keep the Portfolio Manager informed of pertinent issues and concerns.
  • Assist in direct coverage for Community Managers or Leasing Agents as needed.

Do You Have:

  • Five years of prior experience in property management
  • Must have a Real Estate License
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • A good working knowledge of Yardi Voyager software
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic math skills, attention to detail and organizational skills are required
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse cultural environment
  • Must have a car, valid California Driver's license and state required insurance
Work duties are performed independently with mínimal supervision. Position involves a moderate degree of complexity in dealing with recurring work situations. Work is periodically reviewed by Portfolio Manager. Position requires sitting.
