Collections Specialist

A growing healthcare services company in Tampa is seeking a Collections Professional to join our Finance Department. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle financial inquiries via phone and email
  • Address billing concerns with clients and healthcare providers
  • Assist in developing collection strategies
  • Contact clients to arrange payment of overdue accounts
  • Educate clients on billing processes to reduce future late payments
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Strong teamwork and independent work skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Research and analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency with office technology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to multitask and follow procedures
  • Active listening skills
  • Bilingual abilities appreciated

Required Experience/Education:

  • Healthcare collections background preferred
  • Familiarity with medical billing practices
  • Knowledge of accounting software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
