This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate cost data and providing valuable insights to support decision-making across global operations. As a Cost Accountant , you will utilize your analytical skills and financial acumen to ensure cost efficiency and profitability within the organization. Responsibilities:

  • Cost Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze inventory costs and prepare detailed cost reports on a regular basis.
    • Provide insightful analysis of cost trends and recommend actions to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to manage inventory valuation and ensure accuracy.
    • Conduct periodic inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
    • Implement controls to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the annual budgeting process by providing cost projections and insights.
    • Support the forecasting process with accurate cost data and trend analysis.
  • Compliance and Controls:

    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to cost accounting.
    • Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules related to cost accounting.
  • Systems and Tools:

    • Utilize Dynamics 365 and Power BI extensively for cost analysis and reporting.
    • Leverage advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, modeling, and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification or in-process preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUPs).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a global mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
