The Pixie Project, a growing non-profit animal rescue, is looking to add a skilled and organized Human Resource and Office Manager to our team Rate of pay is $22-$26 hourly, depending on experience. This is a full-time, non-remote position, Tuesday-Saturday.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources:

• Oversee the recruiting and onboarding process for new employees, including signing employees up for, managing, and answering coworker questions about benefits
• Assist with scheduling and processing payroll
• Maintain employee records and appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information

• Ensure we’re adhering to hiring and employment standards/best practices
• Assist with training, performance management, and conflict resolution while helping to ensure a culture of support and accountability

Office/Shelter Management:

• Manage inventory and ordering supplies for the shelter and for office use
• Coordinate office technology, taking responsibility to for ensuring things are in working order and staff have the computers, equipment, and software they need

• Look for opportunities to improve office workflow and efficiencies
• Assist with scheduling meetings, calls, and deliveries
• Maintain shelter equipment, inspections, and licensing
• Assist donors and shelter visitors
• Other projects as required

Qualifications:

• Experience in HR management and office administration

• Proficiency in QBs Online and ability to adapt to new software and programs
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Ability to multitask and focus in a busy shelter environment
• Strong, clear communicator in person, in writing, and over the phone
