 Do you want to be part of âThe Next Major Leagueâ? The National Lacrosse League (NLL), North America's premier professional lacrosse league, is looking to hire a Manager, Business Development reporting to the EVP Commercial Operations. This individual will have responsibility for identifying relevant corporate partnership prospects and supporting all aspects of the National Lacrosse Leagueâs commercial growth initiatives. 
Responsibilities 
  • Research and identify strategic targets and prospect leads of decision-makers at potential commercial partnership targets in the US and Canada to build and maintain a robust revenue pipeline of high-potential commercial partners. 

  • Proactively maintain the Leagueâs sales pipeline CRM database, internal analytical reports, and partnership sales forecasts. 

  • Serve as the primary developer of actionable partnership sales collateral and presentations with an emphasis on the Leagueâs unique partnership assets and storytelling opportunities. 

  • Monitor the changing sports and entertainment industryâs changing landscape via ongoing research of partnership asset valuations, key consumer segments, emerging markets and trends, and new fan engagement and technology opportunities. 

  • Assist the EVP Commercial Operations to evolve the Leagueâs annual commercial strategy and department budget and achieve aggressive prospecting goals. 

Qualifications 
  • Minimum 3+ yearsâ experience in a business development role; preferably in sports, media, entertainment, or related industries. 

  • Proven track record of identifying sales leads and preparing eye-catching, impactful presentations and proposals. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, organizational, and people skills required. 

  • Proficient experience with Microsoft suite of products (most notably PowerPoint), database management, sales software and web-related services. 

  • Must be able to work cooperatively in a team setting within all levels of the organization. 

  • Possess an entrepreneurial, âroll up the sleevesâ mentality with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and ever-changing commercial marketplace. 

  • Studying and understanding various sports, media, and entertainment partnership platforms is necessary. 

Must be able to work non-traditional work hours as needed (evenings, weekends, etc.). 

The NLL offers company paid medical insurance and participation in 401k. This position can work remotely.
