A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Technical Sales Support professional, you will be accountable for developing techno-commercial proposals for the power transformers in the markets the factory is responsible, leading the process from receipt of the request for quotation, engaging various players in the organization (engineering, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, planning etc.) to provide appropriate inputs to develop the final proposal, structuring the pricing matrix, and progressing for internal approval. You will also be responsible for supporting colleagues during negotiations with customer and finally upon successful receipt of order perform handover of project-to-project execution team.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Analysis of customer requirements and implementation in a competitive offer with the involvement of an interdisciplinary team
- Supporting the engineering teams and the sales department in examining the technical feasibility and also identifying project risks or opportunities of opportunities;
- Determination of the costs and the corresponding delivery time of the scope of delivery you have projected
- Continuous monitoring of the bid project status and ensuring independent, targeted and complete communication within the project team and the collaborating departments
- Participation in project negotiations together with the sales team at home and abroad and representative of your offer as a quotation project manager at the customer
- Responsibility for handing over the order to the project management, the engineering, manufacturing and other related departments;
- Deliver continuous improvement of internal processes to improve efficiency of bid management
- Establishment and maintenance of data collections on costs, cost structures and developments.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics preferred) with a combination of related work experience;
- 5+ years of successful experience in Project Management/Sales/Proposals/Application Engineering in Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution, with background knowledge in Power and Distribution Transformers preferred. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
- Excellent Oral and writing skills with internal and external organization;
- Ability to work in an intercultural environment with international teams and different company cultures.
- Strong Analytical and Strategic thinker
- Travel up to 15%
- The selected candidate must be located or willing to relocate to the Charlotte, NC USA area.
