About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Specialist for Power Transformers to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our Technical Sales Support team, you will be responsible for developing techno-commercial proposals for power transformers in our target markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the proposal process from receipt of the request for quotation to final proposal submission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, and planning, to provide input and ensure a comprehensive proposal.
  • Structure pricing matrices and progress proposals for internal approval.
  • Support colleagues during customer negotiations and ensure a smooth handover of projects to the execution team.
  • Monitor bid project status and communicate effectively with the project team and collaborating departments.
  • Participate in project negotiations with the sales team and represent the company's offer as a quotation project manager.
  • Ensure the efficient management of bid processes and continuous improvement of internal processes.
  • Maintain data collections on costs, cost structures, and developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics preferred) with relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Sales, Proposals, or Application Engineering in Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in an international environment with diverse teams and company cultures.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Travel up to 15%.
  • Must be located or willing to relocate to the Charlotte, NC USA area.
