Transformer Winder

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Transformer Winder to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing of windings for large power transformers.

Key Responsibilities

• Winding different types of coils, including helical windings or disc windings for large power transformers
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work plans
• Operating horizontal or vertical winding machines, overhead cranes, forklifts, and performing welding, soldering when vital
• Preparing vital materials to carry out the winding process
• Performing measurements and quality inspections for windings including reviewing the tolerances in accordance with technical requirements
• Supporting in developing and maintaining the documentation of technical instructions for the winding procedures
• Submitting documentation and quality checks of the process done

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training/experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the winding process for transformers is required
• Ability to use math, read and interpret sophisticated drawings, and perform complex measurements
• Applicant must be able to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community college
• Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Forklift License and a Critical Lift level crane license and certification for working in heights
• Effective communication
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
