Transformer Winder

Job Summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a skilled Transformer Winder to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing of windings for large power transformers.

Key Responsibilities

Wind different types of coils, including helical windings and disc windings for large power transformers
Read and interpret technical drawings and work plans
Operate horizontal or vertical winding machines, overhead cranes, forklifts, and perform welding and soldering tasks
Prepare materials for the winding process and perform quality inspections
Develop and maintain documentation for technical instructions and procedures

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training or experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in the winding process for transformers
Ability to use math, read and interpret sophisticated drawings, and perform complex measurements
Effective communication and social skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
