The company is seeking a Director of Learning and Development to join us in fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth as they anticipate an exhilarating period of growth.

The Director of Learning and Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that align with our client's strategic objectives. This role will ensure employees at all levels have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their positions, contributing to the company's overall success. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with experience building comprehensive training programs and a passion for driving growth and innovation.

Qualifications of the Director of Learning and Development:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in learning and development, training, or a related field, preferably within the biotech or healthcare industries.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and other training technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess training needs, design effective programs, and measure their success.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Learning and Development:

  • Develop and execute a company-wide learning and development strategy that supports organizational goals and objectives.
  • Assess training needs across departments and design targeted learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, and compliance training.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create customized training solutions for specific teams or initiatives.
  • Manage the design and delivery of both in-person and virtual training programs, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques.
  • Lead a team of learning professionals and oversee the development of instructional materials, courses, and workshops.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in learning technologies, implementing innovative approaches where appropriate.
  • Develop onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the company culture and hit the ground running.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards through continuous training initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of learning and development within the organization to improve employee engagement, retention, and performance.
