Director of Digital Product Management

The Director of Digital Product Management will oversee the development, growth, and success of digital products and solutions within the organization. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders to define the vision, strategy and roadmap for digital products, processes and experience alignment with organizational objectives. They will lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between IT and business units to translate business needs into technical requirements. The role includes establishing a long-term platform strategy in conjunction with business teams, ensuring that digital products meet revenue and profitability targets. Additionally, they will collaborate with stakeholders on price-setting/margin strategies, conduct long and short-term forecasting, supply chain management, provide up-to-date product content/information and support customer relationship efforts in collaboration with business units.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Will manage a team of professionals and lead cross-functional teams, including product designers, developers, data analysts, marketers, and customer support. Foster a collaborative environment where business needs are understood and translated effectively into technical solutions.
  • Develop a clear and compelling product vision that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives, based on insights gathered from business teams. This includes work closely with stakeholders to define the product roadmap and prioritize features based on business requirements
  • Identify, analyze, and articulate market insight, customer needs, buying preferences, and value propositions for target segments that drive successful product and service development and delivery.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, competition, and industry trends. Use this information to inform product decisions, identify opportunities, and assess potential risks.
  • Ensure that digital products are designed with a strong focus on user experience and user interference. Includes working closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing products that align with business objectives.
  • Implement agile methodologies to manage product development, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and product backlog management. Ensure that development efforts are aligned with business priorities and deliver value iteratively.
  • Partner regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization.
  • Work closely with the product marketing team to develop positioning and messaging and ensure differentiation from competitors. Ensure that marketing efforts are aligned with product features and business goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance to facilitate continuous iteration and improvement based on business feedback
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of digital products from ideation, research, and development through to launch, growth, and maturity.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Digital Product Management experience with a strong understanding of business operations and digital IT
  • Successful track record of achieving results through and in collaboration with others
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Customer-first mindset and strong understanding of back-end and front-end programming languages
  • Ability to develop data pipelines that can be used to track, analyze, and improve our digital products based on business priorities
  • Ability to work in Agile environments, demonstrating ability to adapt to changing priorities, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality products iteratively.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree, Master’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in a management role and 5+ years of relevant experience in the life science or medical device arena
  • Experience with SQL queries and with back-end and front-end programming languages such as Java, HTML, CSS
  • Experience in usability and customer-focused design
  • Experience with any Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean
  • Passion for building great products to solve customer and business problems
