Key Responsibilities
  • Develop striking key art for the modern web, showcasing your expertise in User Experience (UX) design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, researchers, engineers, and copywriters, to create cohesive and effective design solutions.
  • Utilize our design system to create new patterns and expand existing ones, ensuring consistency across our digital platforms.
  • Communicate design concepts and page flows to stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring seamless implementation.
  • Work with UX researchers to test designs with real users, gathering valuable feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Infuse Western Digital's brand identity, visuals, and tone of voice into all digital communications, including email campaigns, seasonal, evergreen, and core digital content.
  • Adhere to platform-specific guidelines while exercising discretion to deviate when appropriate.
  • Produce design documentation and work with engineering teams to implement designs, ensuring the final product meets specifications.
  • Present creative vision, concepts, and completed designs to leadership, stakeholders, and peers.
Requirements
  • Exceptional web design skills, with a strong understanding of typography, layout, color, and composition.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as experience with the latest UX tools.
  • Familiarity with animation, motion graphics, and basic video editing skills.
  • Strong understanding of transactional web design and the ability to simplify intricate requirements into elegant design solutions.
