Job Details

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process all incoming invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Payment Management: Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments, and checks. Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate and organized records. Resolve discrepancies and issues with vendors.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain and update vendor files, including contact information, payment terms, and tax information. Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries and issues.
  • Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.
  • Month-End Closing: Assist in month-end closing by preparing account reconciliations and accruals related to accounts payable.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable process.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze accounts payable reports as needed for management.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Education: Associates Degree in Accounting
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Resturant365) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

  • Remote Environment
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods or month-end closings.
