Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices from vendors and contractors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and execute payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and electronic payments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment-related inquiries and issues.
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of accounts payable or accounting experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
