Duties Description Under the direction of an Information Technology Specialist 3, SG 23, within the Office of Information Technology Services / Chief Technology Office / Business Applications Services / Revenue, Finance, and Integrity Portfolio, the Information Technology Specialist 2, SG 18, will work in the Devops unit supporting the Department of Taxation & Finance. The incumbent will assist in developing and maintaining Devops strategy, will support application development tools and will develop and maintain CICD procedures, source control environments, and application delivery pipelines for all application component changes so that the development, user test and production environment integrity is maintained.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Work in the Devops unit, maintaining procedures around continuous integration, continuous delivery for application code updates.
• Develop best practices around structure for application source code, integration with CICD pipelines for increased application change delivery times.
• Integrate modernized tools for source control and automated build/deployment with Release and Change Management.
• Act as product support for commercial software supporting application development and CICD, including installation, maintenance, and upgrades across diverse technology platforms.
• Assist team members using technologies including but not limited to Java, .NET, HTML/XHTML, Javascript, XML, Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL , DB2
• Work with counterparts within the organization to ensure compatibility of all initiatives.
