Role Overview: Reporting to the Project Coordinator for the Chief Technology Officer's Innovation and Engineering Bureau within the User Experience division, the IT Specialist 2 (SG-18) will provide essential support for the design and development of various initiatives across multiple channels, touchpoints, and state agencies throughout the design lifecycle - from user research to user interaction and interface design, while ensuring alignment with NYS branding.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborating and strategizing on a variety of materials including web applications, presentations, programming collateral, and internal communications.
  • Executing design tasks and producing standard deliverables such as graphics, storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Collecting feedback from supervisors to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and branding requirements.
  • Creating and integrating user interface design patterns, standards, and principles to improve scalability, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of design systems.
