Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advise HR and management on employment related legal matters Provide advice and legal counsel to HR and management on employee benefits concerns, including plan design, implementation, maintenance, and administration Draft, edit, and maintain corporate policies and training materials related to the above Coordinate legal investigations internally or in conjunction with outside counsel, if warranted. Provide resolution and/or report results to company management as appropriate Work with outside counsel as necessary in response to litigation and other legal matters Assist with other legal matters as assigned Reports to the General Counsel
Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Juris Doctorate degree and from an ABA approved law school Requires active membership in good standing and current authorization to practice law by the State Bar of Georgia, or a state bar association of another Requires 5 - 7 years' of previous legal experience advising corporate/organizational clients Ability to work closely and collaboratively with HR and business partners at all levels of seniority Experience and expertise advising organizational clients in any of the following areas: employment law, ERISA and employee benefits law, including legal issues related to 401(k) plan administration, executive compensation across the organization, while providing business focused legal advice Strong communication and interpersonal skillsDESIRED SKILLS:
In-house counsel experience preferred but not required Expertise in domestic and international privacy laws a plus Experience working with and advising senior management Ability and desire to expand range of legal subject matter expertise, and assist as needed across the businessSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
