WHAT YOU'LL DO

The ACC is collaborating with its clients to address significant and urgent challenges in the corporate landscape. Our Global Legal Team plays a vital role in our organization's success, fostering impact and advancement across various critical areas.

As a member of the Legal Team, you will engage with various ACC teams and functions to support our strategic business initiatives, provide legal counsel and expertise, promote legal innovation, and harness new methodologies in our quest to establish an industry-leading team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as an integral member of the ACC's Global Legal Team, focusing primarily on commercial matters, risk assessment, and enhancing internal processes.
  2. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, including their legal representatives.
  3. Conduct risk evaluations and offer practical recommendations for decision-makers.
  4. Advocate for ACC's standards in contracting and risk management.
  5. Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial agreements, including master service agreements, licensing contracts, subcontractor agreements, and confidentiality agreements, with a focus on representing ACC as a service provider.
  6. Demonstrate proficiency in swiftly and independently drafting legal documents.
  7. Develop and champion ACC's contracting policies and processes, assisting in the approval of any deviations.
  8. Provide general legal counsel across a broad spectrum of issues, including transaction structuring, data protection, competition law, and conflict of interest matters.
  9. Collaborate with ACC teams to resolve complex legal challenges.
  10. Serve as a liaison between various functions and business units to address legal concerns.
  11. Contribute to the development and maintenance of Legal Team resources and templates.
  12. Perform additional duties as necessary.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  2. A responsive and pragmatic approach to addressing ad hoc requests from the business.
  3. Strong analytical abilities and creative problem-solving skills, balancing business and legal objectives.
  4. Providing counsel in a dynamic environment, managing multiple ongoing matters.
  5. Explaining legal concepts to business colleagues and effectively negotiating agreements.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  1. Qualified attorney in the United States.
  2. Over 5 years of experience in commercial contracting with international exposure.
  3. At least 3 years of experience in a reputable law firm; prior in-house experience is preferred.
  4. Familiarity with data processing agreements is advantageous.
  5. Proficiency in English.
