Position Summary
As a Vice President on the partnerships team, you will be responsible for supporting strategic & relationship management functions with key AWMS US partner intermediaries (wirehouses, banks, independent broker dealers, bank trusts, fintechs, etc.). The role will focus on developing strategic goals for each partner firm, along with product origination, onboarding, fundraising and ongoing product management functions.

We’re searching for a dynamic, relationship driven VP who will successfully represent Ares while promoting and supporting our entire suite of Ares alternatives offerings (across credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and secondaries products) to wealth management intermediaries & key home office decision makers.


Essential Job Duties

Cultivate business relationships with key intermediary home office partners Work closely with AWMS partnership team members to drive new business opportunities & product origination on partner firm platforms Assist with fund onboarding processes with internal Ares team members & external partners Develop a go to market sales strategy for new & existing product onboardings Assist with & attend key partner conferences to promote Ares brand & support product fundraising goals Work collaboratively with Ares product management & investor relations, investment groups, legal, compliance, operations, and finance & accounting teams throughout the origination, onboarding, fundraising & ongoing product management processes Work collaboratively with AWMS partners in marketing, sales, product development, operations and strategy Cultivate business relationships with the wider community to stay informed on competitor intelligent and industry trends Take on ad hoc projects as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

7-10+ years of experience in financial services with a minimum 3-5 years’ experience in retail/wealth management preferred Strong sales, investment and product management background FINRA SIE, Series 7, and 63 required Knowledge of various product asset classes across private credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure and secondaries preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal colleagues and external partners Demonstrated sales skills, ability to be articulate, flexible, polished, and comfortable in fast-paced environment Travel may be up to 20% of time At all times, conduct daily activities in the highest professional manner Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
