Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Human Resources Specialist based in our Philadelphia, PA office This is a hybrid position that will require 3 days a week on site in Center City Philadelphia. 

Schedule : Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Specialist provides functional and administrative support to the Human Resources Team with a concentration on benefits and the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Essential Duties :

Intake, sort, and distribute mail, documents, and other deliveries to the Human Resources suite. Scan and distribute items as necessary to ensure efficient communication and documentation.  Assist in maintaining compliance processes related to employee benefits, credentialing, onboarding, and other HR functions as necessary. Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and internal policies.  Manage 401(k) retirement contribution changes made in third-party administrator site and ensure data consistency between TPA site and payroll platform.  Assist Benefits Coordinator in general benefits administration tasks including benefit enrollment, status changes, qualifying life event (QLE) management, and miscellaneous documentation pertaining to leave of absence/ADA requests. Oversee workers compensation reporting and follow-up. Ensure accurate documentation and timely resolution of claims and related issues.  Aid in managing employee credentialing logs, background checks, and clearances as required for their positions. Track and ensure timely completion of all necessary checks and documentation.  Support HRIS Manager with various reporting needs and data tracking. Assist in generating reports and maintaining HR system of record. Organize and file confidential documents and information as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information. Assist with managing employee records and ensure records are accurate, up-to-date and properly maintained.  Support departmental and organizational initiatives, including ordering flowers, sending birthday cards, and fulfilling other leadership requests. Contribute to promoting a positive and engaging work environment for all employees.  Other related duties as assigned and needed. 

Qualifications :

Bachelors Degree required SHRM, CP preferred One to two years in a Human Resources role required HRIS knowledge required Experience in handling confidential information required One to two years of experience in Benefits preferred Microsoft Office Skills required
