POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Materials Planning Manager reports to Director of MRO and is responsible for material production scheduling and flow, SIOP process (Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning), and material On-time-Delivery (OTD) in support of Helicopter MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) activities.

The Materials Planning Manager works in close collaboration with supply chain buyers, engineering, and manufacturing to foster a collaborative work environment and ensure smooth communication and coordination.

This position will be required to analyze and interpret a variety of reports and other related factors to allow timely and economical completion of material commitments in support of production requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Work with Supply chain to ensure purchased materials from suppliers are ordered, shipped, and delivered in time to support repair schedules and customer on time delivery targets. Develop, implement, and lead internal Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) processes utilizing production forecasts to establish an operations plan that meets customer lead time expectations, optimize inventory levels and operational efficiencies, and mitigate internal bottlenecks. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and other relevant departments to accurately forecast customer demands and plan material needs accordingly. Develop internal stocking strategies to support production lead time commitments, manage the min/max stock levels for components and consumables.  Regularly review and adjust the schedule as needed to meet changing demands and priorities. Provide input regarding the production impact of order changes, material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

HIgh School Diploma 5+ years in a material planning, supply chain planning, inventory management role in an Aerospace MRO environment required. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems. .

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree (BA) in business management. Certified Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), Inventory Management (CPIM), or a related field preferred. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials planning and scheduling. Experience in using RAMCO system.
