Position Overview:

**Exciting opportunity for a Preconstruction Manager at Summit Engineering and Construction**

The Preconstruction Manager (PCM) will oversee the programming, budgeting, design, and engineering phases for significant client projects from inception to completion. The key responsibilities include:

  • Project Programming: Gather and document client needs, outline high-level project scope, and assess site and building layout constraints.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Research state and local codes and permitting requirements.
  • Conceptual Design: Create initial site plans and essential section drawings, and develop preliminary budget estimates.
  • Timeline Management: Identify overall project timelines and constraints.
  • Schematic Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to refine project scope, manage subconsultants, and produce preliminary project documents.
  • Budget Development: Establish project budgets and ensure compliance with all requirements and regulations.
  • Design Oversight: Manage the detailed design schedule, secure client approvals, and complete draft contract documents.
  • Project Completion: Verify supplier and contractor information, ensure timely delivery of drawings and specifications, and produce necessary permitting documents.
  • Ongoing Involvement: Address RFIs and design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to understanding project intricacies. Effective planning, organization, and team leadership are essential. A comprehensive understanding of the design and construction processes is crucial.

Qualifications:
