The Preconstruction Manager (PCM) will oversee the programming, budgeting, design, and engineering aspects of significant client projects from inception to completion. The key responsibilities include:
- Project Programming: Understand and document client specifications, define the overall project scope, and assess equipment, site, and building layout limitations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Investigate state and local codes and permitting requirements to ensure adherence.
- Design Development: Create conceptual site plans and key section drawings, develop preliminary project documents, and refine project scope with stakeholder input.
- Budget Management: Establish rough order of magnitude budgets, determine project costs, and ensure compliance with financial constraints.
- Client Engagement: Conduct meetings with clients to clarify project objectives and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will possess robust management capabilities, problem-solving skills, and a keen desire to grasp the intricacies of various situations. Effective planning, organization, and leadership of a team are essential. A comprehensive understanding of the design and construction processes is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party services to meet project requirements.
- Manage budgets throughout the design phase and ensure project documentation is complete.
