What's your day like?

As a new Human Service Worker at Wasatch Behavioral Health, you will have the opportunity to engage compassionately with clients daily, providing crucial support and assistance. Your responsibilities will involve facilitating group activities, maintaining accurate client records, and collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure a customer-focused approach to care.

You will play a key role in the development and social adjustment of clients, offering one-on-one support, goal setting, and behavioral modification treatment implementation. By documenting client behaviors and progress, you will contribute to updating treatment plans and ensuring the overall well-being of those we serve. Are you the Behavioral Specialist we're looking for?

To be successful as a Behavioral Specialist, you must possess a high level of empathy and the ability to engage with clients in a compassionate and professional manner. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively working with individuals in need and collaborating with a team of professionals. Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accurate client records and progress notes. Flexibility in scheduling and adaptability to changing program needs are key for this dynamic role.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is subject to drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check, with the completion of a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from the Utah State Office of Licensing post-hire. Proof of diploma, certifications and or any Licensures must be provided prior to employment.

Knowledge and skills required;

  • High school diploma or GED and one (1) year post high school education in social work
  • psychology or a related field and one (1) year of general work experience
  • or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
