Purpose:
As Director of Industry Relations, you will cultivate and source + action-based learning projects annually across various degree programs at the Ross School of Business. You will work with the Director of Industry Relations to meet program needs and priorities. You will develop and execute a marketing and stewardship strategy, and will work with the Managing Director to enhance collaboration with other units within Ross and the broader campus. You will report to the Managing Director of the Office of Action-Based Learning.

Responsibilities*

Business Development & External Relations 60%

Represent all of Ross ABL offerings to internal and external members, including corporate partners at alumni events and conferences. Manage a portfolio of corporate, and non-profit partnerships to secure sponsorship commitments for real-world action-learning projects - both domestic and international. Assess inbound leads for Ross ABL portfolio Provide ongoing support and communication with current corporate partners, in collaboration with important campus partners. Ensure targeted project solicitation goals are met to support the Ross action-based learning curriculum. Collaborate with the Managing Director and Director of Industry Relations in assessing project submissions for relevance and scope.
 

Marketing & Sponsor Stewardship 20%

Support email campaigns, social media posts, virtual webinars and other programs, aimed at potential project sponsors. Collaborate with the Managing Director and Director of Industry Relations to develop a marketing strategy targeting sponsor organizations.
 

Project Management and Support 20%

Coordinate project logistics between sponsors, faculty, and student teams during the winter term. Collaborate with OABL team members to troubleshoot sponsor-related issues. Assign students to project teams; provide input and guidance on the needs and considerations of project companies. Conduct periodic check-ins with main partners to ensure project success for all partners. Support project contract reviews, invoicing and processing.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of experience in marketing, sales, fundraising, or other comparable fields. Experience in business development. Experience in strategic planning and execution. Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce.
