Office Assistant/Receptionist

Top Law firm based in Mineola is seeking an Office Assistant/Receptionist on a temp to perm basis. This opportunity has a lot of opportunity for growth.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Office Assistant/Receptionist experience looking to get their foot in the door with a well-respected law firm.
The position is paying up to $21 and the firm would like to hire ASAP.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate Employee or Attorney
- Collect basic client information to brief the Employee or Attorney before transferring the call
- Retrieve files for Attorneys as needed
- Scan and upload documents into the filing system
- Assist with large-scale mailings when required
- Log and stamp all incoming mail
- Order office supplies as necessary (e.g., Quill, Staples)
- Schedule FedEx pickups for employees when needed
- Enter and upload data into online systems
Requirements:
- Friendly and professional phone demeanor for interacting with clients
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Highly organized
- Preferred experience in a legal environment
