We specialize in custom home concrete foundations, turn-key masonry foundation packages, flatwork (driveways, SOG), mono pads, retaining walls/basement walls, metal building slabs, and more in the greater Charlotte, NC area. Our long-term customer relationships are a testament to our commitment to excellence.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Residential, you will play a critical role in driving sales, building relationships, and developing long-standing partnerships. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and closing projects within our Residential concrete division. Additionally, you will monitor industry trends to uncover emerging opportunities that can be leveraged to increase sales revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Target residential homebuilders to identify current and future projects, filling the sales funnel for our concrete construction division.
- Maintain continuous follow-up on all bids, utilizing a systematic approach to track project status.
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Construction to advance projects through the sales funnel.
- Spend approximately 75% of your time in the field, visiting customers, job sites, and other target opportunities, with the remaining time dedicated to client communications via calls and emails.
- Generate and submit weekly sales reports to management for review.
- Utilize all available resources to convert prospects into customers.
- Build and strengthen relationships through client social events and network development.
- Regularly review weekly sales activities and prospective customer engagement with the VP.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of successful outside sales experience.
- Strong communication skills, both phone and email.
- Ability to manage and organize large amounts of data efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal and superior communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints.
- Strong computer and research skills.
- Self-motivated team player capable of working with minimal direction.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in construction.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
- Experience with funnel management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management.
