Revenue Accounting Manager

Robert Half Managment Resources is seeking a skilled Revenue Accounting Manager to help our e-commerce client transition to GAAP accounting on an interim basis. This 2-month, remote role involves working closely with finance and accounting leadership to help evaluate, develop, and implement the revenue recognition for the company.
Responsibilities:
• Assess the company's products and services to identify revenue recognition challenges, particularly related to the accurate recognition of revenue from products and services.
• Create a repeatable revenue accounting process aligned with GAAP, specifically ASC 606.
• Help to configure QuickBooks to support the new process, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Credentials like a CPA or similar is preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of revenue accounting experience in tech or e-commerce.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, especially ASC 606.
• Experience with complex revenue arrangements (software, subscriptions, services).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
